DE SILENCIO, PARA ORDENAR LAS PASIONES DESORDENADAS VIVIENDO SEGUN LA VOLUNTAD DE DIOS<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs\u00ed como pasear, caminar y correr son ejercicios corporales, llamamos Ejercicio Espiritual todo modo de examinar la conciencia, meditar, orar vocalmente y mentalmente y cualquier otra operaci\u00f3n espiritual con el fin de preparar el alma para ordenar todas las inclinaciones desordenadas y, una vez ordenadas, encontrar la voluntad de Dios en la propia vida\u201d. As\u00ed San Ignacio de Loyola, el creador de los Ejercicios Espirituales, describi\u00f3 esta pr\u00e1ctica saludable. Se hacen para imitar a Jes\u00fas, que pas\u00f3 cuarenta d\u00edas en el desierto. De esta manera es posible vencerse a uno mismo y ordenar la vida seg\u00fan la voluntad de Dios. Los Ejercicios Espirituales son tambi\u00e9n un importante apostolado, y por eso buscamos desarrollar un profundo conocimiento de ellos, con el fin de predicarlos. Los Ejercicios Espirituales consisten en algunos d\u00edas de retiro, en los que un predicador expone temas para meditar (tales como la vida de Jes\u00fas, su Pasi\u00f3n, el Cielo y el Infierno\u2026) divididos en cuatro etapas. Estos d\u00edas de silencio y de oraci\u00f3n, son un buen momento para confesarse y recibir direcci\u00f3n espiritual.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 hacer los Ejercicios Espirituales? Vivimos en un mundo que nos est\u00e1 presionando constantemente con el trabajo, la actividad, im\u00e1genes, sonidos, mensajes\u2026 \u00bftenemos realmente el tiempo para detenernos y pensar hacia d\u00f3nde vamos, o qu\u00e9 direcci\u00f3n hemos tomado? Los Ejercicios son una buena manera de apartarnos de la vida diaria; nos dan el tiempo para pensar en lo m\u00e1s importante, esto es, en el fortalecimiento de nuestras almas y la conformidad de nuestra vida con la voluntad de Dios. Adem\u00e1s, si alguien est\u00e1 pensando en la vocaci\u00f3n al sacerdocio o a la vida religiosa, los Ejercicios Espirituales son un excelente m\u00e9todo de discernimiento. Nuestra vida religiosa es una mezcla de contemplaci\u00f3n y acci\u00f3n, no s\u00f3lo oraci\u00f3n y meditaci\u00f3n, sino tambi\u00e9n trabajo
